The proposed development establishes the building typology for the new Multi-Residential building within new Residential precinct of Shorehaven. This development will anchor the new urban built form and realise the planning goal of an active community hub.
The site consists of a gentle fall from the south east corner of the lot towards Portside promenade. The commercial tenancy and main entry points are located within areas with ease of accessibility from natural ground level, with consideration to height of ground floor above the footpath.
The proposed development includes a mix of commercial, single and two and three bedroom accommodation. There are proposed: 1 commercial tenancy, 12 One-Bedroom Apartments, 75 Two-Bedroom Apartments and 10 Three-Bedroom Apartments.
In order of creating a more positive interface, the circulation and entry to each apartment surround a courtyard which will facilitate casual integration between residents, visitors and the local community. The central courtyard has an important function where it breaks down the building mass and creates an opportunity for landscaping and deep soil areas.
